International Sampoon's vacation 2007

It's all becoming more real as we have become homeless and soon to be unemployed. We left our little townhouse in a hurry last week and we are glad to see the last of it. With only a month till we fly out, we are frantically sorting our visas and after much painfull research think we have found a legal loophole! I've finally bought my wheelie bag which doubles as a backpack & am very happy I don't have to lug around 30k on my back all of the time.
It's hard to imagine not working for a whole year! I've counted....17 working days left,...So now I guess our days awaiting to leave will be filled up with sleep-ins, sunbaking and plenty of beer drinking!

Plans so far..
- Fly out March 5 - Ho Chi Minh City
fluff around southern vietnam & have a look in Camodia

- Fly to Northern Vietnam - Hanoi
visit Loas and spend time travelling about in north vietnam

- London 7 May

- Paris 11 May
leasing a little buzzbox citroen. its brand spanking new. Plan to fang it round western europe for the next 5 months

- then Switzerland, venice, rome, cinqu terre, bologna, tuscany and florance, nice

- Barcelona 5 June
booked a gorgeous little apartment 1 block from the famous Sagrada Familla! This will be a highlight, we will be stopping here for one month. Tapas, food markets, gaudi, bars....

- Running of the bulls 7 May - Pamplona

- San Sebastian
for about a week, probably the most beautiful coastal town I've ever visited

- Travelling down the coast of Portugul
visiting Porto, Nazare, Odbidos, Cascais, Logos,

- By the 1st Aug should be in Sevilla
might stay for 2 weeks, its my birthday!

- Tarifa & Gibralter
will trip over to Morrocco to see what all the fuss is about

- Granada

- La Tomatina - 30 Aug
yes we would love to peg rotten tomatoes at other people. Deffinately some packing of goggles

- September - Southern France somewhere

- Amsterdam -7 Oct
dumping the car & spending a week in Amsterdam before flying off on the
7th

- Back to Ho Chi Minh - 8th Oct
but this time we wanna be on an island in Thailand

- Ko Pangan
one month lazying around on a cruisey island. Chilling out after all that travelling. Planning a full moon party, lots of snorkelling, sun worshipping, eating, drinking, swimming (not in that order mum)

- Ko Tao

- Then some other island, Ko Chang maybe

- Unknown destination for the next 2 months, gotta leave room for spontaneity

Still in sunny shellharbour plugging away saving up as much cash as we can tbefore leaving in march. We are frantically selling our stuff and camping at mums till our plane takes off to our first destination of Ho Chi Minh City. We are slightly freaking out about our visa for western europe, hoping we are able to spend the whole 5 months there ... Anyhowz, 43 days to go!
